Banks try to package lots of things with loans. You can’t blame them. They have the client right where they want them. The client wants their loan approved quickly at a low interest rate and therefore is willing to use the banks services for other things as part of the negotiations. Investment banks that don’t do regular banking are at a disadvantage.

Airline miles
I was United exec premier back in the good old days when you could get an upgrade and first class had actual silverware. I can’t believe that anyone is going to stick with a United credit card if the airline isn’t going to back the miles. I would assume most would opt for another card with a different airline.
IPO’s from banks
It is interesting that there are this many IPO’s from banks. I was under the impression that the IPO market was almost dead, I really don’t follow it very closely, and to find this many from one sector is surprising.
