Negative consequences from increased transparency?

There is debate about whether central banks should conduct their business, and divulge their thinking about monetary policy and the economy, in an open and transparent manner. The recent trend, which is generally favored in financial markets, is for central banks to act in a more transparent manner.

Also, there is current debate about US monetary policy being ineffective.  Essentially, the critics say that the fed has already dropped interest rates so low that they are “out of bullets.”
